Regular Church Services

Every Sunday…

Our worship begins every Sunday at 8:30am with Holy Communion using the Book of Common Prayer.

At 10:30am our services take the form of an all age family service, Holy Communion or Matins.

Every Sunday evening at 6:00pm our worship takes the form of either Evensong or a Taize Service.

Every Wednesday…

We celebrate Holy Communion each Wednesday at 10:15am.

For special services please see details by clicking on Parish Magazine here or at the bottom of this page.

What are our services like?

We try to cater for all ages and tastes with the pattern and type of services we hold at Paul Church. For those who prefer the Book of Common Prayer, the 8:30am Holy Communion Service and 6:00pm Evensong use this book. Matins is also based on the BCP but alternatives for psalms and canticles are often used. The monthly All Age Family Service is very informal with illustrated talks, sketches and musical items often being included – Infant Baptisms are also included in these services as occasion demands. The 10:30am Parish Communion service uses Common Worship – Services and Prayers for the Church of England, introduced this year. We are gradually getting used to it! For midweek Communion services, Common Worship Order One is also used.
